The interview process was pretty standard. It started with a call with the recruiter, who was really fun to talk to. Then, there was a call with the hiring manager. They discussed situational questions about client scenarios, the job requirements, and company culture. I did find it a bit unfair that the hiring manager was fully remote while requiring team members to be hybrid. Also, for a senior role, the pay is too low and they should probably remove the 'senior' title from the description.

This company has a great cultural environment, everyone is smiling when they walk in and out of the office! The team was extremely welcoming and the office is epic. Interview Breakdown 1st round: 30 min screening with a recruiter discussing your background. 2nd round: 30 minutes with the sales hiring managers. 3rd round: Mock call over the phone with the sales hiring managers, be coachable and exude confidence! 4th round: cultural interview in-person or online (I went in person to do the 4th/5th round) with recruiter and HR. 5th round: practical interview, you have another mock call with sales hiring managers, GMO could sit in. They take their time to get to know you as a person, everything is very personable and conversational!

Behavioral Technical Coding Group

The application process was pretty long, but it's because Leadr really wants to get to know you personally and professionally since culture is a huge priority. The engineering director contacted me the same day I applied. A few days later, we had a 30-minute phone screen where they asked about my background and what I liked about Leadr. After that, they set up a technical interview with a senior backend engineer for the next week. This interview was a two-hour collaborative coding project, focusing on my technical skills, how I fit with the team, and my design decision-making. The following week, I had four 45-minute interviews back-to-back with seven different people. First was an HR specialist for culture fit, then the head of QA and a senior product manager, then a senior front and backend engineer, and finally the director of engineering and head of product. These were all pretty relaxed and friendly, giving me a good feel for the culture. A few days later, I got an offer, accepted it, and my start date was about 1.5 weeks after that. The onboarding was super thorough, covering every department.

Technical Behavioral Presentation

The interview process was very transparent; the job description accurately reflected the stages. It started with a coffee chat where I could speak freely without pressure. Next was a technical exercise, which was open-ended in scope and timeframe, designed to assess my thinking and problem-solving skills. This was followed by an hour-long meeting with various team members, focusing on culture fit and how I interact with them, without being overly technical or trying to stump me. Finally, I met with the VP and Director for a cultural discussion and to answer any open questions I had.
