Leadpages' interview process for their Customer Success team is a long haul, however, that makes you appreciate the company, value the position and know that they don't simply hire anyone who owns a MacBook. There were a total of 5 interviews throughout the process. The process begins with a very general phone interview that's rather short, then moves to another phone interview a little bit longer with more content and leaders within that department. The third is an in-person interview. The fourth is an interesting and fun interview with someone not in your department on the core values of the company. The fifth is an amazing opportunity to speak to the co-founder. By the end of this, you've earned it, but shouldn't that be what every interview process feels like? I think so. I truly appreciate this commitment Leadpages has to the interview process.

So after an initial email assessment thing, I had five more interviews before they decided. First, I talked with the HR person who I'd been emailing, and we just went over my resume and the job to see if it was a good match. That went okay, so then I had a phone call with two of the people I'd be working with and for on the technical support team. After that, I went on-site for an interview with the other two managers I'd be reporting to. Those two interviews were more about the nitty-gritty stuff and asked like 'how would you handle X' and 'tell me about a time you did Y'. Those went well too, so I met with the Director of Operations to talk about fitting in with the company culture, which they apparently really care about. Then, I had a quick chat with the cofounder, Tracy Simmons, who's the Chief Strategy Officer and Cultural Architect. We just briefly touched on the same stuff we'd already covered, and it was pretty short, like 20 minutes. She mentioned she'd talk to everyone I interviewed with and I'd hear back within 24 hours about an offer or rejection. Five days later, after I followed up, I got a standard rejection email saying they picked people who were a better fit.

It was a pretty thorough process. Started with a phone interview, then an email exercise, and then another phone interview. The recruiter, Travis, was great and explained everything well. After talking to him first, I had a phone interview with some team leads from LeadPages and Drip. They were all super friendly and helpful. Didn't get the job in the end, but the interview process itself was good.
