First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Layton Construction.
Project Engineer
Recruiter reached out on LinkedIn, then I connected with a project manager. I had a phone interview with them and then was sent two assessments to finish before the next interviews.
- Can you describe your responsibilities in your last role?
- Did you complete a cognitive or IQ test?
- Did you take a personality test?
Health and Safety Manager
The people interviewing me were very nice. However, the role wasn't a good fit for me. They were looking for someone willing to relocate to different areas temporarily, which I'm not able to do. I had to politely decline and wish them luck in finding the right candidate.
- Could you tell me about your experience with health and safety?
Project Accountant
The first interview is with the controller. It will be a casual chat. You'll go over your resume, talk about your experience, and how your skills fit the role. Expect to discuss your background, career aspirations, and maybe the company culture.
- What motivates you to stay with a company for a long time?
Graphic Designer
The first two interviews went really well, and I felt pretty good about my chances. They said they'd let me know about the next steps soon. I waited about two weeks without hearing anything, so I emailed the recruiter I was talking to. I asked if there would be another round, but she never responded, and I haven't heard back from anyone since.
