They quizzed me for 30 minutes about what documents are needed for filing, what kind of questions I come up with when drafting discovery, and what I talk about when I call clients. Then they informed me that paralegals at their firm never talk to clients or produce original work, and that it’s all premade forms. A waste of time.

  • Can you provide examples of questions you've drafted during discovery preparation?

I was contacted by a recruiter on Linkedin and they set up a virtual interview. I then met with the managing partner. It was a very cordial and nice meeting. I got the offer not long after talking with them. Overall, it was a positive experience. Everyone, from the recruiter and partner to the associates, was really kind and helped me out with the process.

Behavioral Other

The interview process was very unprofessional and disorganized. They scheduled an appointment but then didn't show up to interview me, leaving me waiting in the lobby for an hour. The partner in the firm seemed shady and unprofessional, and other reviews seem to confirm this. Their pay practices also appear shady and slanted in their favor.

Confirmed questions2 questions
  • The questions were easy, not very challenging.
  • It felt like a waste of time waiting for them to get organized to start the interview.

The employer was very straight forward with what he expects from an employee working at his company. Although he was direct, it probably would be better in his half to have someone else conduct the interview as he comes off intimidating and not welcoming.

  • When looking for a firm, what's an important aspect you seek out?
