First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Law Offices of Jacoby & Meyers.
Legal Assistant
I had a phone call with an HR assistant or manager where they asked me screening questions about my resume. If they liked what they heard, they called me for a second interview round about a week or two later, depending on how the call went.
- Can you describe a typical day in your current role, from beginning to end?
- What are your duties in the job and what do you do?
Associate Attorney
I went through three interview rounds. The first was a quick and pleasant phone call with an HR person. Then, a partner and I had a nice chat over Zoom for the second round. The last interview, also over Zoom, with one of the managing partners was the absolute worst. He was 15 minutes late without any apology, talked way too fast, and didn't even make eye contact while I was answering, making it feel more like an interrogation than an interview. He seemed to lose interest after a few questions and started asking really intrusive stuff about how my current firm operates, which had nothing to do with the job. I really liked the first partner, but the managing partner's interview style and questions were super unprofessional.
- Could you describe your strengths and weaknesses, and do you have any trial experience?
Law Assistant
The interview process was straightforward and pleasant. Initially, there was a brief screening, followed by an in-person interview. During the in-person stage, I was asked to share examples from my previous work experiences and specific situations I had encountered.
- Could you tell me about your strengths and weaknesses?
- What are some examples of your job experiences?
- Can you describe situations you've been in?
Medical Records Clerk
The interview process involved three to four rounds. It included HR, the VP, my potential manager for the specific department, and one of the main attorneys. The interviews were very straightforward for this role and didn't require specific experience.
- Could you tell me about the coursework you completed during your undergraduate studies?
- Please describe what you learned from your favorite classes.
