First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Lavazza.
Supplier Quality Engineer
The interview itself isn't hard. The conditions are very vague and HR doesn't give any feedback, even after reaching the final stage of the selection process and after several requests for feedback.
- What would you bring to Lavazza?
- How would you describe yourself?
Marketing Intern
Fast and smooth process, first contact with HR for an introductory chat, followed by a business case to prepare and present during the interview. They sent it a few days before. Personal and technical questions related to the role were asked.
- Tell me about yourself and your university journey.
Human Resources Business Partner
I had a phone screen with a recruiter from the West Chester, PA office. After a few days of silence, they sent a generic rejection email. For a company that claims to be 'people-centric,' their recruiting process is surprisingly poor, especially in this job market.
- Can you tell me about yourself and your experience?
- Are you comfortable with a hybrid work arrangement?
Intern
I first applied on their website for an internship. About a week later, they called me and asked me to introduce myself, what I was looking for, and what the company was looking for. At the end of the phone call, we agreed on a day for a second interview via video call. The second interview lasted about 50 minutes. During the interview, I was asked to introduce myself, state my strengths, what I knew about Lavazza and the company's values. We also spoke in English with questions mainly focused on my studies. During the interview, I was asked about Excel, specifically creating pivot tables, and I was asked to discuss a business case of my choice that I saw at university. After the second interview, I was sent an Excel 'exercise' to do at home and after sending it back, I never heard from the company again.
- Introduce yourself and tell me your strengths.
- Tell me everything you know about Lavazza.
- Talk about pivot tables and how to make them.
