Tuve una primera charla con alguien de RRHH, fue bastante directa y amable. Luego, hablé con el director del departamento; fue una entrevista bastante completa y me gustó cómo se desarrolló.

I applied for the Academic Director position managing English language programs for universities in Peru. I got an email the next day asking to interview that weekend. The interview went well, and a few days later, I interviewed with a higher-level HR person. They said they'd reply by the next week, but it took over two weeks to hear back. I'm not sure why they rushed the hiring process and then didn't proceed with the hire.

The interview process took over 4 weeks to complete, mainly due to scheduling issues. Initially, I had a recruiter call, followed by a phone interview with the person whose position I would be taking over. The final interview was scheduled to be with department heads I would collaborate with. However, during the interview, HR joined the call and terminated it, citing a lack of fit. I suspect the person I would have reported to made the decision to end the interviews. While I appreciated the directness and saving time, I wish they had communicated the situation and involved HR afterwards. Given my resume showed I've done similar work, albeit with different systems, they must have seen some potential. I also wish I'd received more specific feedback on why it wasn't a good fit. Quick tip: During interviews, you summarize your resume. Just as I research the company, companies should research candidates, especially in the final in-person stages. While they interview me, I'm interviewing them. I'm glad it ended though, as I would have declined if offered.
