Social Media Manager
I interviewed for a role in Portland. First, a recruiter in LA gave me a call. Then, I went to the Portland office in week two to meet the Senior Social Media Manager. In week three, I met with the Senior Project Manager and the Group Account Director (though they couldn't make it). Week four had a final phone interview with the Group Account Director and the Director of Social Media Management. I followed up with the recruiter in week five about an update, but never heard back. The interviews went well and I got good feedback until the final round. It was frustrating to spend so much time and effort and then have no follow-up. Also, it was unclear who the hiring manager was, and no one I spoke with knew the salary range.

Community Manager
So, I had a phone interview to kick things off, then they gave me a copywriting test. After that, there were two more phone interviews, and then a third phone interview. They flew me out for an in-person interview three separate times. One of those in-person interviews actually had another test in it. They mentioned a fourth phone interview would happen during the last in-person one. I kept checking in, but didn't hear anything until three weeks later, and they said I didn't get the job.

Social Media Manager
I had the best interview experience ever. I talked to the head of recruitment at Laundry Service, Nieves. She was really nice, convincing, knowledgeable, and genuine. I was choosing between this role and another one, and was leaning towards the other, but after talking to Nieves several times and meeting the team in person, I changed my mind.
- Can you describe your approach to developing and writing social media content?
- Which brands or social media accounts do you admire for their online presence?
