First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Lattice Semiconductor.
Applications Engineer Intern
I had 3 interviews in total. The first two were technical interviews, and the last one was with HR.
- Can you describe the Spartan 3E FPGA Board?
Applications Engineer
I spoke with 4 people in total. First, there was a 50-minute phone call where we went over my resume, experience, projects, and education. It was a pretty standard interview with no super tough or surprising questions, and the interviewer was really clear and easy to understand. I actually enjoyed chatting with him and he got back to me pretty fast, within 2 days, to set up the next interview. That was a 3-hour face-to-face meeting with some senior engineers and the manager. They really dug into my work and stuff. It was also pretty standard and the interviewers were very polite. It was a comfortable experience all around. If you know your stuff and aren't scared to explain your work in detail, it's a great experience.
- Can you suggest three improvements for my current project?
Application Engineer
It was a panel interview that covered both technical and behavioral aspects. The main focus was on determining which specialization cluster the candidate would fit into. The job offer might be extended within a week after the interview.
- Tricky questions about digital electronics.
- Questions on static timing analysis.
- Questions regarding code debugging.
