First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Latham & Watkins.
Business Development Manager
First, they sent a link to do a recorded interview, then they followed up with a virtual interview. I was told in my interview they would be following up with me to set up the next round, only to receive a rejection email a few days later.
- Can you discuss your specific interest in Latham and Watkins?
Business Development Specialist
I wasn't a fan of the HR Vue video part, it felt like a way to filter people out (45 min). The two managers I spoke with were pleasant and gave clear, upfront info about the job/role. The company seemed like a good place, with a diverse team that had been there a long time. Process: 1. HR Vue Video - ppl weed-out (45 min) 2. Chat with the 2 managers (1 hour)
- Can you introduce yourself?
- What kinds of events have you worked on?
- Describe your event planning process.
Business Development Analyst
First I had to do some recorded video responses, which was a bit odd since you only get one shot at each. I didn't overthink it and just went with my gut. Then, they set up a virtual chat with the hiring manager, who was super friendly and made the interview go smoothly. We clicked well, and I felt good about moving on. But before I heard back, I actually decided to withdraw because I got another offer. If I had stayed in the running, I think there would have been a couple more rounds to meet other people.
