Product Designer
The hiring team was really nice and seemed genuinely interested in learning about my background and what I could bring to the role. They did put me through the whole interview process, which honestly gave me a little bit of false hope that the job would be offered, but in the end it wasn't. So, it would have been better if there was a bit more transparency upfront.
- Walk me through your design challenge.
Product Designer
The interview process involved a phone screening, a chat with the hiring manager, a design assignment, and a peer interview. It was a well-organized process with great communication all the way through. I felt supported and knew what was going on at each step.
- Can you describe your design process?
Product Designer
So I had 5 interviews, which were pretty long. The CTO even said he'd get me a good offer because my background was so unique and I was a perfect fit. But then, they didn't end up offering me the job. Their HR person just sent a really generic email about it. I've never put so much effort into interviews, been so sure I'd get the job, and then been rejected so unprofessionally.
- Can you share an instance where a situation didn't go as planned and describe how you proceeded?
- Tell me about a time things didn't work out. What did you do to move forward?
