The interview process began with a recruiter screen, which was brief and covered the basics of the role and my background. Next, I had a meeting with two managers to dive deeper into my experience, discuss how I'd fit into the team, and ask questions about the company culture and team. The third interview was with the lead designer, focusing on my portfolio and design work. The final two interviews were with separate team members, where we discussed my experience, teamwork, and they also had time to ask questions. The whole process was quite fast, and the TA was great at keeping me informed and helping me through it.

The interview process at LastPass was great. About a week after applying, I got a request for an interview screening. In total, there were 4 interview rounds: a screening, an interview with the hiring manager, a panel interview with three interviewers, and a final discussion with a VP. All the interviews felt like real conversations with people I could see myself working with. I got an offer about a week after the last round and spent another week negotiating it. I definitely recommend LastPass; they're a growing company with a really organized recruiting and HR team.

I initially interviewed for the SMB Associate Account Executive role. The first interview with Antonio (the recruiter) went well. We built a good rapport and I could tell that based on my experience I was seen as a little bit too qualified for the role. Nevertheless, I was told that same day that I would be progressing to the next stage, talking to Antoinette (the hiring manager). Within the first few minutes of the second interview with Antoinette, I was told that the role had changed and required now the candidate to have enterprise closing experience. Right from the gate I felt disappointed because I wasn't aware before joining the call that the requirement had changed. At the end of the interview which took place on a Monday, I was promised an update within 48 hours. It took two weeks for an update. I knew it was a dead opportunity for me anyway. The email I received two weeks ago comforted me in my position as it stated that LastPass would be progressing with other candidates. The second call was clearly a waste of my time.

Behavioral Technical Other

The interview process moved really fast, almost too fast, which felt a bit off. They crammed several steps into a single day, making it feel rushed. A major drawback was the sheer number of phone interviews. It lacked a personal feel, and the call quality was poor with a lot of background noise, making it hard to concentrate and unprofessional. On the plus side, some parts of the interviews were handled well, with polite and direct questions. However, I was ultimately rejected for reasons that could have been identified in the initial stage, so it felt like a waste of my time. The feedback was also very brief and not very useful. Despite the team seeming nice, the overall experience was frustrating due to communication problems, the hurried pace, and the lack of detailed feedback.

Confirmed questions2 questions
  • Can you describe a difficult work situation and how you managed it?
  • What were the reasons for my rejection?
