Technical Other

It's super frustrating to get a response about a job I applied to way back in October 2024, like 13 months later. I actually did the English and a pre-recorded video interview they sent last week but then got rejected without any feedback. They didn't even let me do the French test. Since English is my first language, there's no way I failed that test. If you're just going to decide based on other candidates without even considering me, then don't bother asking me to do an interview and a language test a year later. You could have just checked my application like most other places do.

Technical Presentation

I applied for Spanish Interpreter on Nov 26, 2024. They required a virtual assessment of my English and Spanish language skills. This timed assessment includes questions for listening skills and prompts for communication skills. Some questions involved video responses to prompts. I completed these on Nov 29. On Dec 17, a recruiter from Costa Rica contacted me to arrange an interview and asked for three convenient days and times. I sent my availability the next day, but it's been over a week with no confirmation, so I think they ghosted me.

Behavioral Technical

It was all done over the phone. I first had an interview with the admin person. We talked through my CV, my skills, the job, and what they were looking for. Then, I had a second phone interview with the same person and someone who speaks Spanish. We did a role-play. The admin acted as the medical professional, I was the interpreter, and the other person was the patient. I had to interpret between English and Spanish.

  • Could you please share your availability, skills, qualifications, and background?
  • How would you interpret this scenario where a patient's son has hit his head and is at a medical appointment?
