First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Lane Bryant.
Assistant Manager
The store manager mostly talks and doesn't ask many questions. She tries to get a sense of who you are, mainly looking at your professional dress and application, rather than specific answers.
- Have you worked in sales before?
Assistant Manager
Very straight forward. Relaxed atmosphere, one interview style with general questions. Overall, great experience with a quick call back. I worked for this company during high-school and again after college. Flexible.
- Tell me about yourself.
Assistant Manager
I sent my resume through Indeed and got a call a few days later to schedule an interview for the next day. I went into the store for the interview, which lasted about 30 minutes. The job ad mentioned a pay range of $13-$21 per hour. They offered $17/hr for a full-time position, but it came with a lot of responsibility. Considering the minimum wage in my area is $14, going up to $14.75 in July 2022, and my experience level, the pay and lack of benefits weren't worth it.
- Can you share an instance where you had to manage a challenging customer and describe your approach?
