I saw the job opening online and contacted a recruiter. After about a week and a half, I had a quick phone chat and then was invited for an in-person interview later that week. At the start of the next week, I interviewed with two other people and also did an "on the job" interview where I got to meet the team and check out the vibe. The following day, the recruiter called and told me to get a drug test and they would start my background check. The background check took about a week to come back, not anyone's fault. I got the offer and I'm set to start in the next couple of weeks, we're just sorting out the last details.

I got promoted internally, starting as a waiter and then moving up to Bar Manager and then Front of House Manager. The interview requires you to really know P&Ls, inventory, scheduling, and guest services. Landry's has a really detailed and rigorous training process.
