General Manager
There were multiple interviews. It started with a Zoom interview and then a phone interview. I'm not sure if this is typical, but since I'm relocating from out of town, I wasn't able to attend an in-person interview. I was really looking forward to this role and felt I'd be a great fit, so it was disappointing to be passed over just because I couldn't be there physically.
- Imagine you're stranded on an island and I'm a genie. What would you ask for, or what three questions would you pose to me?
General Manager
It was a really quick and informative interview process. I went from talking to the recruiter to getting an offer in just one week. Everyone I met was really nice and clear about what the job actually involves and what they expect from someone in the role.
- Can you share an example of a time you encountered a difficult situation in a previous role?
- What motivates your interest in this position and our company?
General Manager
I went through two separate interviews for this role. The first one was a terrible experience. Within five minutes, the interviewer seemed completely uninterested. While I understand I might not have been the best fit, it was demoralizing to see his body language and realize he wasn't even listening to me. He also lacked basic social skills. Honestly, it made me relieved that I didn't get the job in the end.
- Could you tell me about your management experience?
