First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at LandCare.
Intern
The interview was 30 minutes and was very conversational. Great experience overall. Mostly behavioral questions about your resume and academics. Recruiter stayed in touch and was very responsive. Met the recruiter at career fair at school.
- Tell me about your resume.
- Tell me about your academics.
Account Manager
The interview process started with some straightforward questions, like 'Tell me about a time when XYZ.' The initial recruiter call felt thorough. But after that, things went downhill. The recruiter became unresponsive and didn't schedule the next interview with the hiring manager, and I never heard from them again. I did eventually speak with the hiring manager, and we had a good second interview. In that interview, the hiring manager discussed the specifics of the job, including the expectation of working 12-20 hour shifts during winter to manage subcontractors for sites that can't go down due to snow. I appreciate their transparency about these demands. However, the administrative side, specifically the lack of consistent communication from the recruiter, was a turn-off. If they can't handle the basic communication, I'm concerned about how they'd handle more important tasks.
- Can you share an instance where you had to mend a customer relationship?
Customer Prospecting Representative
The interview was super chill. It wasn't private at all, like I was in a conference room with a bunch of other managers from different places who were all busy with their own stuff. It felt like a tag-team interview, where I'd talk to two managers, then they'd go back to their work, and then I'd talk to a few more.
- What are your customer service skills?
- Can you describe a time you dealt with a difficult customer?
- How would you de-escalate a situation?
Administrative Project Manager
So I'm really disappointed with how this interview process went. After a few rounds, the recruiter just stopped replying to me. I put in a lot of work getting ready for each interview and tried following up a bunch, but I just got silence. It's not cool that they ghosted me, especially since I expected better communication. It makes me wonder about the company's values. Just a heads up to others to be careful with their time here.
- Can you introduce yourself?
