First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at LanceSoft.
Python Developer
I had 2 rounds of technical interviews and an HR round. They didn't ask any coding questions, but mostly focused on how we explained things. They were generally very friendly. The second round focused on project-related questions, discussing difficulties we faced and how we debugged issues.
- What's the difference between get and filter?
- Besides CSRF protection, how else can a Django application be secured?
- Can you explain what a load balancer is?
Radiology Technologist
The onboarding process is quite long and has requirements that are strict and sometimes repeated. Getting medical clearance can take days and they have some unreasonable demands. The vaccine requirement is also something to consider. They often reject documentation that other places accept as valid and question everything submitted. There are too many people involved in this part of hiring, which might confuse candidates.
- Can you tell me about your employment history?
- What are your salary expectations?
- What is your relevant work experience?
Software Engineer
This was the worst company interview I've ever had. I was selected for an Accenture client role. The entire process took a month, and after document verification, they informed me the client had no requirement. Such a bad experience, with shameless and unprofessional staff. I emailed them countless times with no reply. I strongly advise against joining this company. A truly awful experience, I wish I could give negative ratings.
- Can you write a program using Java 8 features to identify individuals earning over 50000?
- What would be the SQL query to retrieve the third highest salary?
- Could you tell me about JUnit and SonarQube?
Recruiter
The hiring process usually kicks off with a preliminary chat to see if you're a good match for the position. After that, you'll have a first chat with the hiring manager where you'll dive deeper into your skills and what you've done. You might also be asked to do a test or assignment related to the job. If things go well, you'll have a second interview with some other team members and maybe a final talk with senior leaders. If they decide to move forward, you'll get an offer and talk about the details.
- What's your approach to prioritizing what clients need?
