We did a group task where they judged teamwork skills, intuition, ability to come up with ideas quickly, public speaking and presentation skills etc. Then there was a panel of interviewers where they interviewed me one on one.

This interview process was misleading. The level of the role was different from what was advertised, and the requirements were changed during the interview itself. There was a deliberate misleading of questions. It seemed like colleagues were more interested in their influence over the interviewee rather than assessing the fit between the person and the job. There was also a lack of clarity in what they wanted, despite posting the job.

It's overly formal here, with a panel of 4 interviewers even for entry-level jobs, which can be really intimidating for new and young professionals. They score the questions, making it feel very formulaic and impersonal, so you don't really get a chance to connect with people or show your strengths effectively. I've had several interviews here, and most experiences with the panels have been negative, often leading to not getting an offer. However, I did have one really positive experience with the Management School; it was much more relaxed and friendly, and it was an all-day event that I'd definitely suggest.

I gave a presentation about my research interests. After that, there was a panel of 5 people, and they each asked me questions about why I wanted the job, my future research, my teaching and leadership skills, and my career ambitions. I also met some people informally during the day, but I made sure to prepare for those interactions as if they were part of the formal process because they might be asked for their opinions.
