Project Manager
Really bad impression after the HR interview: they didn't call at the scheduled time and didn't let me know they had a conflict; they finally called back the next day unexpectedly... then promised to give feedback in 2-3 days but obviously didn't follow up despite a reminder. Honestly, I find this disrespectful to candidates and it really doesn't make me want to work there, despite their nice speeches about employee well-being and Lacoste's values.

The role involves managing activities throughout the season, including preparing benchmark analyses, consumer studies, and assisting with collection briefs. You'll participate in all stages of collection development, supporting the product manager at key points. This includes tracking prototypes and samples with the platforms, ensuring PLM data is updated, actively participating in fittings, and writing up meeting minutes. You'll also help prepare collection documents and presentation materials, including sales tools.

Project Manager
I got into Lacoste Japan via a referral. Had a first interview with the HR director (in Japanese) and CFO (in French, then a bit of Japanese and English). It went well, so they invited me to interview with a Marketing director. That interview felt awkward. The Marketing director approached me speaking Chinese, which I wasn't ready for since the role didn't need it. Then, this person was very quiet, didn't offer water (unlike the others), and didn't even introduce herself. I didn't get invited to the next stage, and honestly, I don't think I could have worked well with that person anyway.
- Can you define what project management means to you?
