It was an online, one-on-one video call with the hiring manager. They asked nursing situational questions. The interview lasted about 30 minutes. The hiring manager on the medsurg floor was very pleasant. Don't overthink your interview, just pay attention to the questions and take your time answering. I even had a pen and paper to write some information down. Do whatever works for you.

Applied on the LA County website for RN I/Relief Nurse position. Took about 3 months. They do testing in batches and you have to pass a deductive reasoning/critical thinking test, which has non-nursing questions. After passing, you're put on an eligibility list for a year. You can call nurse recruitment for hospitals you want to work at and ask about RN I vacancies. I got an interview after calling about openings. LAC+USC hires in batches. You go into a big conference room and check-in. Nurse managers interview people in the back while you wait in front. When your name is called, you sit with two nurse managers. They look at your resume and ask pre-printed questions like 'tell me about yourself' and 'tell me of a time when...'. They called same day to say I got the job.
