I had a 10-minute virtual screening interview with an AI bot named Zara. I'd used one before, so I was okay with it. But, Zara was really hard to understand, even with my headset on. I wasted time asking her to repeat herself. She only asked about my past work and didn't ask anything about the job I was applying for. I think I got screened out because of questions that weren't related to the role.

So first there was an intro call, then two tech rounds. The first tech round was system design, where two engineers looked at my design for the backend and frontend architecture. The second tech round was coding, where I had to debug an app that used a third-party state management tool.

The whole interview thing took about three weeks from the first chat to getting the offer. It could've been faster but sometimes time zone differences made things take an extra day. First, I had a screening call with a recruiter who checked if my background fit the role. Then, I interviewed with the hiring manager; it was split between behavioral questions and technical stuff. After that, there was a take-home test on Coderbyte, which involved building two applications. There wasn't a strict time limit, but doing one part on their platform was a bit awkward. Finally, I had a panel interview with three sessions back-to-back, with short breaks. These covered behavioral topics, system design and architecture, and a mission and values discussion.

Behavioral Technical

There were 3 one-on-one meetings followed by a panel interview with 3 team members. I was definitely overqualified but I liked the company and was willing to do an SDR role after being a Sales rep with a couple of years of experience. They asked me multiple times why I'd be willing to take a step back and I answered perfectly but I don't think the CRO could get past it. He sounded like he didn't even want to interview me. Even though one of their most successful representatives had the exact same profile. (warning) They do not provide feedback.
