First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Labcorp.
Technician
The hiring process was really simple. The manager was nice and professional. They cleared up all my questions about what happens next and when I'd hear back. The whole hiring thing seems to drag on, but maybe there's a good reason for that.
- When can you start?
- How will you get to work?
- What are your logistical arrangements for this job?
Lab Technician
It was a zoom interview and it was unexpected that it would be a group interview. The interviewers seemed to treat me like a clown who was supposed to entertain them for 30 minutes. They used my answers against me. They asked me why I want to be a lab tech and I said it was introvert friendly and they asked how will I work well in a team then? I've had 4 jobs by now and 2 were in customer service, so I am pretty sure I know how to work in a team. After their unprofessional interview, they rejected me through email.
- How do you feel about teamwork when your role is often solitary?
Lab Technician
It was a job fair with interviews across several departments: the Special Chemistry Lab, Immunology Lab, Hematology Lab, and Toxicology Lab. The interviewers were really friendly. The interviews themselves weren't too long. LabCorp was hiring a lot of technologists back then, and they don't usually do job fairs.
- Describe how you manage difficult circumstances.
