It was pretty straightforward, I had two interviews, one with each manager. We talked about my student experience and previous jobs. Just the standard get-to-know-you stuff, really, about me and how I work.

Submitted my resume and after about 3-4 weeks, the local hiring manager emailed to set up a meeting. We met the following week at a coffee shop. The interviewer was the Local Territory Manager. We had a nice chat, mostly going over my resume and job expectations. I felt good about it and the interviewer said she'd contact me in 5-7 business days. 12 days passed with no contact, so I decided to move on. On day 13, I got a call from a Labatt's People Development Specialist from Vancouver. He wanted to schedule a conference call for a telephone interview that afternoon with another Labatt's department manager. We scheduled it for 2:00 PM. At 2:00 PM, no call. At 2:15 PM, no call. At 2:30 PM, no call. At 2:47 PM, the call finally came in, and he apologized for running behind. The interview started with introductions, then they immediately asked about my salary expectations. I said $45,000-$55,000, based on what I'd read about the job. They immediately responded, "This job only pays $15/HR, didn't anyone explain that to you?" We then discussed previous employment and reasons for leaving jobs. The whole experience with the two people on the phone was really rude and unprofessional. They made it seem like I was trying out for a team and wasn't good enough, even though my qualifications were way above what was needed. They'd say you didn't have sales experience "until proven." When the interview ended, they said they needed time to think and would be in touch by the end of the week (4 days). 13 days later, after I'd already given up on hearing from them again, I received a call. It was the same guy from the people development team. He offered me the position but kept mentioning it only pays $15/HR and that they were still unsure about the job's responsibilities. I decided right then that the position wasn't for me because of the obvious unprofessionalism and poor management shown during the interview process. Their inability to get their act together made me realize what working there would be like, so I passed on the offer even though they were lowballing me on salary. Be warned, this company posts a salary that attracts more qualified candidates (Diploma or Degree Grads) and then tries to significantly lower your salary expectations, offering 25%-35% less than you should be making. Once they see who's still interested, they "redefine" the position or pay. A friend had a similar experience in eastern Canada.

First, there was a screening interview with a staffing agency. Then, I had to do a "merchandising test/assignment." After that, I went to the Labatt offices for an interview with an HR Rep and the Sales Manager. It was pretty standard, but they threw in a couple of "curve-ball" questions. The manager interviewing me was really abrasive, and he didn't seem to take the interview or my questions about the role seriously. I wouldn't have wanted to work for him, and I felt the workplace would be toxic. I decided to withdraw my candidacy after this interview.
