Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Labatt Breweries of Canada.
Management Trainee
I got a recruiter call after the online assessment. It was about 15 minutes long, and we talked about behavioral questions and they told me about the role. They basically went through my resume and asked about my achievements.
- Can you walk me through your resume and describe your greatest accomplishment?
Manager
The interview process was straightforward, with two initial rounds followed by a final meeting with the VP. The first round focused on strategic fit and competencies, and each interview lasted 45 minutes, concluding with a Q&A session led by the interviewee.
- Could you describe the most impactful project you were involved with in your last position?
Management Trainee
Applied online, then had a personality test, a logical reasoning test. After that, there was a case interview. Got about 10 pages of material, 20 minutes to prep, 7 minutes to present the plan, followed by some questions about the case. This was about 40-50 minutes total. It was an on-campus event, with 3 students interviewed at the same time. We were taken to individual small meeting rooms. After 20 minutes of prep, 2 managers came in to listen to the presentation. A whiteboard was available for bullet points and a more formal presentation, but I just used my notes.
