Technician
Recruiters will call you and ask some questions to see if you qualify. Sometimes I heard giggling in the background, making me wonder if I said something wrong. They'll say they'll submit your resume at the end, but it's a lie. If they don't want to hire you, they just say that to end the interview. Recruiters generally sound pleasant and friendly. I feel like some questions they ask are irrelevant to the position. They expect you to lie to them. If you feel the pay is low, say it's really high. If you think the office is small, say it looks like Trump's mansion.
- What makes you think you are a good fit for this job
Lab Technician
So you apply for a job, and then a recruiter reaches out if they think you're a good fit for one of their clients. They'll then set up an interview and give you all the details about the gig: pay, what it entails, hours, the company, and stuff like that, and ask if you want them to send your resume over. How fast they get back to you really depends on the client since it's not really up to them.
- Tell me about your past roles.
- What were your duties in those past roles?
Manufacturing Technician
I had a phone call first where they asked me specific job related questions to see if I was worth a 1 on 1 interview. Then I interviewed with 3 different people one after another - my potential manager, a coworker, and an HR person. These interviewers were from the company I'd be working for, not from On Assignment.
- Can you tell me about your greatest weakness?
- Are you willing to travel for this role?
