Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at L.E.K. Consulting.
Intern
The process kicked off with me hitting up campus events and having some coffee chats. Then I got to visit their office and network with some of the folks there. After that, I submitted my resume. Once they looked it over and it got selected, I was invited for an interview.
- What makes you want to pursue consulting?
- Can you elaborate on specific experiences from your resume?
Intern
The process was really smooth. We joined a Zoom meeting with other candidates and were then sent to breakout rooms. In these rooms, it was a one-on-one with a consultant, usually at the associate level. The interviewers were helpful even though we had to lead the conversation.
- A case study on market sizing was presented.
- A strategy case study was asked.
MBA Summer Intern
It was a very short interview, about ten minutes long, and mostly behavioral questions. If I had passed, I would've gotten the chance to apply for a Summer Internship at LEK. About two weeks after I was asked around 3 questions about how I've acted in different situations, I got the update that I wasn't selected.
- Tell me about a time you dealt with a challenging situation at work.
