First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Kyocera.
Engineer Technician
I spoke with HR and a Senior Engineer. It was a pretty straightforward interview where they asked about my resume and how the company works, their motto, what they produce, and if I'd be a good personality fit.
- Could you give me an overview of your resume?
Service Technician
First, we advertise the job opening in the local newspaper. Then, you submit your resume. After that, there are two interviews. The first interview is with the service manager, but I'm not sure about other jobs. The second interview is with both the service manager and the senior branch manager. Following the interviews, you'll undergo a week of on-the-job training where you'll go on service calls with a senior technician. After that, there's a 3-month trial period, and if you pass, you get the job.
- What would you do if you encountered a very angry client at a job site who became physical?
IT Technician
The whole thing took about three hours. First there was a written test, some typing tests, and a personality test, which took about an hour. After that, I had an interview with the department manager and the HR person. Overall, it was a good and interesting interview.
- What are your learning goals?
