The first round was average, and the second round with the MD was difficult. I was told I would be contacted by HR within two weeks, but I was ghosted. Very frustrating. Don't apply if you are not from an Ivy and well-connected within the firm.

The interview process had 5 interviews in total. The first stage had 2 interviews with Associates, and the second stage had 3 interviews with Senior Associates or higher. The initial 2 interviews were mainly about background and fit, while the last 2 were case studies. Unfortunately, I was rejected after 4 out of the 5 interviews. The first 3 went well, but the interviewer for the fourth one was pretty tough and didn't give much feedback or respond much when I asked questions.

The interview process involved two main rounds. The first round had two parts: a 1-hour phone call which was split between market sizing exercises and behavioral questions, followed by a 90-minute written assessment requiring candidates to read articles and synthesize information. While there was sufficient time, it felt a bit rushed managing the clock. The second round was a 'super-day' of video interviews. This consisted of two 1-hour, interviewer-led case interviews, a 1-hour behavioral interview with a partner, and a 30-minute peer behavioral interview. Despite the time investment, the experience was positive. Interactions with Kx employees were consistently pleasant and welcoming. The case interviews, though initially daunting, were manageable, with interviewers offering helpful guidance without judgment. The behavioral interviews focused on standard questions relevant to understanding my background and its applicability to consulting. Each interviewer allowed time for questions, providing honest and insightful answers. The conversation with the managing partner was notably relaxed and casual, which was a significant positive factor.

My interviewer was very nice and we had a great discussion about the role, my experience and the case studies. However I would consider this interview process a negative experience for the following reasons: 1.) lack of communication within KX! the talent acquisition arranged an interview and I had confirmed however they did not tell the interviewer! this meant I was waiting over an hour with a no show from the interviewer. 2.) when i had an interview rearranged the interviewer initially called me on whatsapp (with a photo of her out partying) before calling me on zoom 3.) during the zoom call I had my video on but the interviewer refused to do the same, this is very odd and not something I have ever experienced in an interview (although the discussion was great) there was also limited/generic feedback . I am interested in following this company in the future, however at the moment this experience was very unproffessional and has been a big red flag!
