For a donut store, the interview process was surprisingly complex. It involved role-playing exercises, group activities, and one-on-one interviews. It felt a bit excessive for a role focused on something as straightforward as donuts.

I sent in a quick online application asking about my availability. The store hadn't opened yet, so they were hiring before it did. Then, about 20-30 of us were asked to come to the store and fill out a proper application. I had a short interview there, mostly about my availability. It was pretty relaxed. I mentioned it was my first interview ever, and the manager tried to make it easy. A few days later, he texted me for another interview. This time, 3 other people were there, and he called us back one by one. I was the third, and the interview was almost the same as the first, but this time I got a job offer and was told to start training that Friday. Overall, it was a really simple process, and the questions were mainly about availability.

It was a group interview that lasted for 3 hours. We were tasked with creating our own donuts, sharing our ideas on what constitutes good customer service, and answering questions specific to Krispy Kreme. Following this, we were split into two groups, and informed about who would be proceeding to the next stage. I was fortunate enough to be selected for an interview that took place within the hour, so be ready for that! Everyone was quite friendly, and overall, it was a positive experience. My advice is to make yourself noticeable among the 10 other candidates. Ensure you participate actively and engage in conversation.
