Audit Intern
I heard from someone who just got hired that KM was looking for one more audit intern. I reached out to the recruiter and they got back to me almost immediately saying they were interested in talking on the phone with me that very day. Based on how well that conversation went and how nice the recruiter was, I had a really good feeling I would like this firm. I set up an interview for about two weeks out at the firm. I interviewed with the recruiter and two people from the audit team. The interview lasted about three hours. It was super easy to chat with all three interviewers. I could tell right away that I liked the vibe at this firm, that they cared about their employees, and that the employees seemed to enjoy their jobs. This was a feeling I hadn't gotten at other places I interviewed with.
- Tell me what leadership means to you and what you would change about your college if you could.
- What accounting and auditing classes have you taken so far?
- Have you taken auditing yet?
Auditor
I applied online on KM's site and the Talent Acquisition Director called me the next day. We decided to meet in person since I preferred it. The interview was really friendly and not technical at all. A few days later, we decided to meet again for two more interviews, one with a Senior Auditor and another with a Director. Both interviews were excellent. I didn't feel judged, and the interviewers were very professional. They asked questions nicely without making me feel awkward. I got to talk and ask my own questions too. I got a job offer a few days after.
- How would you react in certain situations?
- What are your past experiences and tasks?
Auditor
My interview process was on two different dates. The first was a very nice getting-to-know-you session about the staff and the firm, which is great because then the applicant can learn about the firm and get a feel for what it represents. The second date involved three separate thirty-minute interviews followed by a lunch with a staff member. These interviews were easy-going with open communication, feeling more like conversations than interviews. I got to know the three interviewers well and felt comfortable and open with them, which was important. Everyone seemed honest, making it one of the best interview processes I've experienced.
