I went through OCI after my 1L year. The interviewer seemed uninterested and rushed, almost like I was rejected before we even started talking. My advice is to be well-prepared and have a strong reason for being there, as they might not be very receptive.

This is the standard process for summer associate roles. They asked a lot of personality-based questions, with very little depth. One partner really dug into a previous job I had before law school, trying to gauge my understanding of the subject matter. Other than that, it was mostly a superficial interview. Everyone seemed really friendly overall. It felt like a good place to work.

It was pretty long. They reached out to me because I was studying at an Ivy League law school and had clerked for a judge, which they thought was cool. They asked about my involvement in different groups and associations during law school and undergrad, and also about my background, work ethic, and leadership skills.
