Behavioral Presentation

I applied via my University's career services page and was contacted by HR a few days later to set up an onsite interview, which was scheduled for about two weeks out. I received a day-long schedule beforehand. The day involved meeting with three people: first a Business Unit Manager, then a Manufacturing Manager, and finally the initial HR rep. Each interview included at least three behavioral questions and the first interview was followed by a plant tour. About two weeks after the interview, a different HR rep called to offer me the job. I was told upfront that the Davenport plant isn't the best place to start, but Kraft offers good career growth opportunities later on. The main draw for me was Kraft's future opportunities, which were better than other offers.

Behavioral Other

The interview process started at my university, where an HR Rep initially interviewed me based on my resume from their online application. The questions were basic, looking for the required experience for the position. Since I had the experience, they scheduled a second interview, a panel with 2 of my would-be coworkers and my direct manager. This is where it got interesting because I felt confident with my answers, but I had a question in mind that might have been good or bad. When they asked if I had any questions, I asked, 'As a supervisor, what do you all expect of me other than the abilities discussed in this interview? In other words, what role does a supervisor play for you specifically?' (An engineer, an HR rep, and the Production Manager were there). Halfway through their answers, they turned the question back on me. My initial answer was 'I don't know exactly, that is why I am asking,' but they wanted more, and then I rambled, and the interview went downhill. Within 2 minutes, I knew I didn't get the job.

Behavioral Group

I talked to a recruiter first who then connected me to the local plant. The interview process involved a phone screening followed by an in-person interview at the facility. During the in-person part, I had to participate in a group panel interview with two different groups. One group consisted of other production supervisors, and the other group was made up of managers and more experienced individuals at the plant.
