Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Kraft Heinz.
Graduate Trainee
The interview process consisted of three stages. It began with a video interview, followed by an interview with a trainee, and concluded with an interview with management. All stages involved behavioral questions, and it was crucial to ask questions back to the interviewers. They offered detailed feedback after each round to assist candidates.
- What makes you interested in Kraft Heinz?
- What interests you about the Graduate Trainee role?
Graduate Student
I applied early in August/September for a position, but it seems they had already filled all the spots, likely with previous interns. The process involved an initial round and then a pymetrics assessment that was valid for a year, which I had completed from a previous application.
- What is your motivation for wanting to join Kraft Heinz
Graduate Program
The whole process is in 5 steps. I got selected until the last step, but I was not selected in the end of the assessment day. 1st step: pymetrics test to study if your personality matches the culture. 2nd step: video recordings 5/6 questions you have to answer in 1 minute, after 2/3 minutes of preparation for each (e.g., introduce yourself in 1 min, what project are you most proud of, why KH...). 3rd step: Skype interview with a Graduate from KH (e.g., introduce yourself, why Kraft Heinz, a situation where you could apply your ownership/leadership, what do you like in this graduate program...). 4th step: Skype interview with a Manager from KH (similar questions). 5th step: Assessment Day: if you passed the first 4 steps, you'll be sent to one of Kraft Heinz Europe's campuses for the final selection stage with about thirty other candidates. This day is divided into 4 parts: - Welcome & Kraft Heinz presentation, then first individual interview (similar questions to the Skype interviews). - Group work with 4 other candidates (we had 1H to prepare and present a product launch to 2 juries. We had to work on several aspects: marketing/com, sales, operations... what they will look at above all is your ability to work in a team, to take the lead, your creativity and your communication skills). - A 1-minute creative pitch in front of ten managers (the topic is sent 48h in advance, giving time to prepare. In my case, it was the question 'What is the next step for Kraft Heinz?'). - Finally, to move to the last stage in the afternoon, you must have received a 'go' from the jury in at least 2 of the 3 previous interviews. If not, your journey ends after lunch. If yes, you have one last crucial step: the panel interview! The panel interview, in my case, was an interview with 5 candidates and 3 managers, who took turns asking us questions, here are some of them:
- What is your greatest ambition?
- Can you provide an example where you practiced the principle of 'less is more'?
- Tell us one key thing about yourself.
