Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at KPMG.
Strategy Intern
The interview process included a 30-minute behavioral portion and a 30-minute case study. The case was quite straightforward, focusing on using a business framework and explaining your thought process. Both interviews were conducted by directors or partners from the firm, and they seemed more interested in getting to know me than in the specific case or behavioral questions.
- Can you share your thoughts on how to effectively manage a team?
Advisory Intern
3 rounds of case interviews were conducted, progressing from an associate to a partner. Additionally, there was 1 HR interview with the HR manager. The case interviews were somewhat difficult, requiring candidates to build a framework on the spot to solve a given business case live with the interviewer.
- What makes you stand out from other candidates?
Advisory Intern
We start with a CV walkthrough, then discuss your strengths and the skills needed for the role. After that, we'll talk about your personal fit for consulting and why you chose this path, as well as why you're interested in KPMG. The interview is mostly about assessing your personal fit and your motivations for pursuing consulting and this specific company.
- What are your motivations for pursuing a career in consulting, and what are your expectations for the role?
