Applied for a job and heard back way after expected. Had an initial screening call with recruitment, but then the position was archived. Later, I applied for a similar but more senior role and was told my application was initially rejected by mistake. The interviewers mentioned timelines that seemed to indicate a two-week turnaround. Four weeks after that, recruitment sent a generic update, and I never heard anything else. After eight weeks, I pulled myself out of the running. This is different because a competitor gave me a verbal offer with a start date just three days after my interview. If KPMG is using a merit pool, they should state that.

Behavioral Technical Coding

The interview process had a few steps. First was a call with HR to chat about my background, what I expect from the role, and salary stuff. Then, there was a technical interview to check my skills, how I solve problems, and if I know about real situations. The last part was a chat with a manager to talk about my projects, how I communicate, and if I'd fit in with the team. All in all, it was a good, clear process that didn't take too long.

Behavioral Technical Case Presentation

First, you'll chat with HR for about 30-45 mins over the phone or video. They'll give you the lowdown on KPMG and the junior analyst job, ask about your background and experience, and see if you're into finance. They'll also check out your communication skills and let you know about psychometric tests. Then, if all goes well, you'll have a 45-60 minute interview with a manager, either in person or via video. This is where they dig into your technical skills, maybe throw some scenarios your way to see how you solve problems, and ask about teamwork and challenges. They also want to know about your career goals and how they fit with KPMG. Lastly, you'll meet with a partner or senior leader for a 30-45 minute chat. This is more about your overall fit with the company culture and values, your long-term career plans, and your grasp of industry trends. They're basically checking if you have the potential to grow with them and if you're a good cultural fit. They're looking for sharp analytical skills, attention to detail, teamwork, and a real interest in finance, plus that potential to move up.
