Data Engineer
So the interview was like, four parts, you know, to see if you can actually do the job and talk about it. First, there was the HR chat, just a quick one to see if you're cool and wanna work here and talk about your past stuff and if you fit in. Then, I talked to the Engineering Manager, and we went deep into technical stuff, like how to build data systems and how to fix problems. He asked about tools and tech, and like, real problems with data, like making it big, fast, and not breaking. He also wanted to know if you play nice with others and get things done. After that, I had to do this take-home thing where I built a data pipeline. It was to see if I could write good code that's clean and works well, and if I understood their data stuff and how engineers should build things. Had to give them the code and explain how I built it. Lastly, I had to present my take-home solution to the team. They grilled me on why I built it that way, how it scales, how the data is structured, and how to make it faster. It was like a real code review, to see how I think and explain things and take feedback.
- Can you tell us more about your experience and the solution you provided?

Data Engineer Intern
I applied on WelcomeToTheJungle, then got a technical test. After finishing that, I had a technical screening interview. Then, I went to their office for interviews with HR and the CTO. The whole thing took about a week.
- What makes you want to join our company?
- Could you tell me about any projects you've previously worked on?
- Can you walk me through your solution for the technical test?
Data Engineer
Had an introductory call with a quick technical question, then a take-home exercise. The exercise was pretty open-ended, so you could spend a lot of time on it, and there was no way to check if you did it right. Then, an interview with the CTO, which was more of a discussion.
- Can you detect if two boats have exchanged fuel at sea based on their position time series data?
