You start with a quick phone interview where the manager asks some questions and tells you about the company. If that goes well, they'll schedule an in-person interview. After the interview, if it's a good fit, you might get a preliminary offer via email with details on pay, position, and benefits. If you accept, you'll then need to complete a background check, which takes about a week. Once that's cleared, they'll set up the final work interview.

They treat prospective dentists very well. I was flown into my interview and was put in a very nice hotel. The interview included a hands skill test, and a dental knowledge test. I was told to watch the interactions between the office manager and head assistant, but both were out of the office at the time of my interview. Talking to the other doctors working for them resulted in mixed reviews. The office was a little dirty. The waiting room was crowded and had a mom giving an infant soda in a bottle. I guess that is a good indicator that they will never run out of kids to treat.

First, a headhunter contacted me about the Clinical Operations Analyst position. Then, I interviewed with the Manager of Clinical Operations. The interview experience felt unwelcoming and rushed. The manager asked 'tell me about yourself?' and then immediately moved to a whiteboard for a rapid-fire quantitative question about dentist staffing per office, which made me nervous. She then had me complete two Excel tasks on her laptop while she observed. One task involved using a pivot table. She asked only about two more questions after that. I had a chance to ask her questions, but she kept checking her watch. I had read positive reviews on Glassdoor before the interview, but noticed the reviews were clustered, making them suspicious. Further research on the company's clients revealed negative feedback on their operations. Ultimately, I was not offered the position, but I view it as good interview practice.

I applied online and got contacted by a recruiter in under a week to set up an interview. I ended up interviewing with both the recruiter and the clinic manager. The questions they asked were pretty standard, like 'Tell me about yourself,' 'Where do you see yourself in 1 year, 5 years?', and 'What do you know about Kool Smiles?'. They also asked about my compensation expectations. Even though I mentioned that the offered pay of $12 an hour would be a pay cut for me, they still asked me to observe at the front desk for about an hour. During that time, one of the other patient coordinators gave me a more detailed explanation of the job.
