I was contacted on LinkedIn for the Technical Producer role. The process started with a recruiter call, followed by a written assessment. I didn't make it to the final round because I wasn't able to complete the assessment well enough due to being in a transition phase. The company was very understanding and gave me another chance, offering personal feedback for improvement, which was very helpful as an entry-level job seeker.

It was a group interview with 3 other candidates, and we were all looking to apply for the same job. The interview had two parts: first, an assessment test, and then a one-on-one interview. The assessment involved some pretty straightforward coding problems that we had to solve in a Google Doc they gave us. They also told us not to use any external tools like IDEs or compilers to write our code.

Behavioral Technical

First we had an initial interview where we talked about the company, benefits, and you introduced yourself. Then there was a screening stage where you filled out forms for the HR manager to describe yourself and understand your nature. Next, an exam that was a 4-hour test to see if you are qualified or a perfect fit for the team. Finally, a closing interview that recapped the initial chat, asked about your passions, delved deeper into your background, and confirmed your willingness to work and comfort level.

Technical Coding

It was a standard interview with other candidates. We began with some simple flowchart tests and then had an interview with basic questions. Following that, there was another technical skills test. A few of us opted not to finish the task and withdrew because the test was heavily focused on PHP programmers, even though the job listing mentioned proficiency in other languages. PHP is a language I've only dabbled in. I decided not to waste time, knowing I wouldn't be able to complete it within the given time. What made it worse was that we weren't allowed to use compilers or search the internet for syntax help, which felt strange for a web development role.
