The interview process started with an HR screening, which was a 30-minute welcoming recruiter call. Unfortunately, I didn't move forward from this round, and I'm not sure why, possibly due to my location. Next, there was a portfolio review, followed by a remote design challenge that was a take-home assignment. Finally, I had a call with the VP, after which I received an offer.

HR screening was great overall, they asked questions about you as a person, made me feel more comfortable and confident to talk. Asked questions about my experience and why I want to work there. They also proactively provided information about the company and job, so I didn't waste time asking for that info one by one.

Behavioral Presentation

This was easily the worst interview I’ve ever had. Four stages for this job is already excessive. They asked me to put all my case studies into a deck, which seemed unnecessary since they are already on my website. The initial HR screening was fine and the recruiter was nice, but the in-person interview was immediately hostile—the interviewer was dismissive and asked pointless questions. The whole atmosphere felt overly corporate and unpleasant. I lost interest and we ended the interview early. If you value creativity and respect, this probably isn't the right place.
