Data and Analytics
It was a pretty straightforward interview process, involving just a few standard behavioral questions. Nothing out of the ordinary for an interview. They asked the usual stuff like introducing yourself, why you're interested in the company and the role, and for examples of past experiences.
- Can you describe your experience with SQL?
- How would you rate your skills with Looker?
Logistic Officer/Analyst
This is a face-to-face interview that lasts about 2-3 hours. It starts with an HR interview where you can speak Cantonese, English, or Japanese. Then, there's an interview with the manager and teammates, conducted in Cantonese. Finally, there's a written test in Chinese focusing on data reports and deriving insights.
- Can you introduce yourself?
- What is your current role and what are your daily tasks?
- Could you share some of your accomplishments?
R&D Software Engineer
The interview process started with a 30-minute introductory call with the team lead. After that, I was given a programming homework assignment where I had to connect two docker services using a specific library to display real-time results on pictures. The next step was an in-person interview with the Team Lead and some other colleagues, which was a nice two-hour chat. An hour after that, the Team Lead called with the results. This was for the R&D Team, which doesn't exist anymore.
- Can you tell me about your past experiences and specific work examples?
- Could you describe the projects you have worked on?
Account Executive
The recruiter reached out to me twice about this role, so I applied both times. The first time, an interview was set up, but before we could speak, they filled the position and didn't tell me until I followed up. A few weeks later, they had another opening and really wanted to interview me. I had the first interview with my potential direct boss, and it went great. She wanted to move to a second round and said if that went well, she'd make a verbal offer. But, before that next interview, they filled the position again. It's frustrating when they ask you to apply twice and then cancel interviews that were already scheduled.
- Do you require micromanagement, or are you self-sufficient?
