Maintenance Technician
It was really confusing. Make sure you check the work schedule and hours. Also, ask about travel because what they tell you is very different. And verify the chance of promotion. I've seen many people stay in the same spot after being with the company.
- Can you describe your electrical background, including experience with 480 Volts?
- What is your experience with VFDs?
Service Technician
I applied online, submitting my resume and answering a few questions. About two weeks later, I got an email asking me to set up a phone interview, and to schedule it myself. The phone interview went well, though it seemed like the person conducting the interview had not looked at any of my application materials and was unfamiliar with my background. The interviewer was also unable to answer much in the way of specifics about the position. I was then invited by email to apply for the job, which I found to be outright peculiar. I was told that after this second submission, I would be contacted to schedule the next interview. Instead, I received an email about two weeks later saying they would not be pursuing my candidacy.
- Can you tell me about your background?
Service Technician
It was a pretty low-key process. The other folks at my level checked me out while we worked on a big project and they decided to hire me. Talking to the boss was chill and friendly. I already knew the manager from before, so it was an easy process getting hired by them. It was a fair process being hired by that manager.
