Assistant Vice President
the process was easy to understand and lean. HR was cooperative. There was an aptitude test, then a writing skill test, then comp skills, then questions about my family, friends, and many people in my life. The process was easy to understand and lean, HR was cooperative.
- What are your goals and why do you want to join us?
Catering and Events Manager
It was pretty involved. I talked to 3 different managers and 2 VPs. I got the vibe that the new program they were trying to get off the ground had some snags. They really wanted to figure out how to boost extra income by getting more people to come to the store for events and also through catering off-site.
- What's your motivation for wanting to join our company?
- What challenges do you anticipate in implementing a new program aimed at increasing ancillary revenue by driving store traffic for events and off-site catering?
- What methods would you use to increase ancillary revenue by promoting events and off-site catering?
Server
I found this job on Indeed and applied online. The application included a long aptitude test. Based on my test results, a manager called me in for an interview. After passing that, I had a second interview with a different manager. Then, I had my final interview with the General Manager, and he hired me on the spot. He asked me some questions about myself and how I'd handle certain situations. All three managers had different interview styles, and they were all pretty nerve-wracking. I definitely recommend dressing your best and being confident. Also, be as friendly as possible because I think they're really looking for friendly and ambitious people.
- Can you give an example of a time you got creative with an order while serving?
Sales Manager
The vetting process was pretty long, taking 2 months. It included 4 phone interviews and a "day in the life" interview at the company's location. The final interview was with a senior executive from the corporate office. I was offered the position and accepted it a few days after the final interview. I accepted the first offer because I thought there was a generous bonus structure, but that wasn't the case, and I found out later that managers aren't allowed to accept gratuities.
