The interview process was pretty quick. I did not get through the first screening, which consisted in talking about my experience, my current position, motivation and actual videogames interest. The interviewer was very friendly and accomodating during the whole process.

I applied for a QA role at Kolibri Games through their website. It turns out they were hiring for both Junior and Senior QA Testers. The application involved a detailed form. The recruitment team got back to me in a few days and scheduled a virtual interview on Microsoft Teams. They had a booking system that made scheduling easy. The first interview was with a recruiter on Teams. It lasted about 30 minutes and was pretty chill, not super technical, but they really wanted to know about my relevant experience. If you move on from there, the process involves a technical exercise, an interview with two QA folks, and then an on-site trial day where you do a presentation to the QA team. I didn't make it past the first round, but the process felt organized and professional, and the recruiter was nice and clear about everything.

The interview was different from what I expected. It involved a two-day work trial with prepared tasks and meeting many people. The whole process felt long and demanding. On the bright side, the people I met were fantastic, and it gave me a great impression of the company culture and atmosphere. The product is also impressive. However, the offer received was below the minimum salary I had stated upfront, which was disappointing and could have saved time for everyone involved. The salaries offered are generally quite low.
