I interviewed a couple years ago for a product manager position that Kohler had created for a new product line. After two rounds that were mutually agreed on as positive and promising, HR then contacted me stating that their corporate team had changed their mind. They ultimately eliminated the job position. Recently, a friend interviewed for a similar position, and ultimately the same outcome occurred. Corporate priorities will understandably change, but I sense a pattern in indecisiveness that ultimately leads to inefficient use of time and resources.

I submitted my resume via the company's online portal after seeing the opening on LinkedIn. About two weeks later, I got an invitation for an initial phone screen with HR. HR asked some fundamental questions related to the job posting's requirements. Roughly a month after that, I was invited to interview with the hiring manager via video call. They asked questions similar to what HR asked and discussed the job description and team objectives. I followed up with HR a few days later but didn't receive a response after that. Everyone was really nice and welcoming, making it seem like a great company, although the slow response time and lack of follow-up were the main drawbacks.

Applied for a Product Manager role at Hytech, a Kohler subsidiary in Canada. Submitted applications via the Kohler website, Hytech website, and a recruitment agency. Had an initial phone interview with the recruitment agency, followed by a video conference interview a week later. After that, there was a complete silence from Kohler and Hytech for three weeks. The recruitment agency only mentioned they had no updates. The agency's phone communication hinted at potential discrimination in the process, possibly due to my visible minority status, leading to a lack of feedback. It was a very disappointing and humiliating experience.
