Technical Coding

This was for an internship. The process involved a phone screen, followed by a take-home assignment, and then the actual interview. The take-home task was to build a model capable of identifying shapes and their colors within an image, as well as determining their quantity, using a provided dataset that includes shape and color labels.

Confirmed questions1 question
  • Could you build a model to identify shapes and their colors in an image and count them, using the provided dataset with shape and color labels?

Coding Technical System Design Case

The first step was a coding interview where I had to write a simple function and its unit tests. After that, I was invited for on-site interviews. The on-site involved two coding problems, some math questions, and a system design question. Everyone I met seemed engaged and knowledgeable. It felt like they really care about code quality. The system design question was about a problem I'd tackle in the role. Honestly, during that part, I felt like they were just looking for free consulting instead of actually hiring. Other people have mentioned this feeling too. I guess it's good practice, but don't assume they're serious about hiring you.
