First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Kodiak AI.
Computer Vision Intern
Had a phone screen, followed by a one-hour technical interview focused on machine learning coding questions. The interviewers gave good guidance and were really easy to talk to and approachable, making it a positive experience overall.
- Were you asked about machine learning?
Perception Engineer
So, first I had this phone call with HR, it lasted about half an hour. It was pretty standard stuff, just getting the basics. Then, I jumped on an online call with a senior engineer. That one went for about 45 minutes. They asked me some stuff about probability and signal processing, then threw in some riddles and puzzles.
- If two random variables are uniformly distributed over the same range, what is the probability density function of their sum?
- What is the resulting probability density function when you sum 'n' uniformly distributed random variables? And what occurs as 'n' approaches infinity?
Computer Vision Intern
They had 4 rounds in total. First was a Recruiter screen, then a take home assessment which was a computer vision task. After that there were 2 rounds of Technical Interviews. The recruiter asked about my background and future plans. The take home assessment involved an object detection and multi class classification task. The first technical round was with an engineer, and the last round was supposed to be with their AI lead, but I didn't make it to that one.
- Can you tell me about your plans after graduation?
