I applied for their analyst programme after graduating from law school, and a few weeks later I got an invite for a first-round interview. This interview was with two people currently in the programme. They were younger than me and lacked the experience or qualifications to interview me, someone with a law degree, multiple degrees and half a decade of professional experience. They asked basic job interview questions, seemed to not listen to my answers, and the whole thing felt odd, unserious and amateurish. A few days later, I got a rejection email stating other candidates were a better match, despite my qualifications being an exact match for the role. I feel like I dodged a bullet, given how unserious the interview process was.

The interview process included an initial 30-minute behavioral interview. This was followed by a 'superday' which consisted of a 60-minute behavioral interview and a 60-minute analytical interview. There was also an optional 30-minute language evaluation if a high level of proficiency in another language was claimed. The interviewers were senior analysts who were very nice and encouraging.

The whole thing took about three months from applying to getting the offer, which really shows how intense Kobre & Kim is. You can totally tell how they think and what's important to them because even the interviews feel significant. It was a great experience, honestly, even though it was super intense. You're kind of in awe. Everyone I talked to was nice, smart, and professional, and they seemed really focused on working together and helping each other and the candidates. I got the invite for the first round (a 30-min behavioral chat on Zoom) a bit over a week after I sent in my resume. After that, it was about 10 days until I got the invite for the second round, which they called "Superday." It had a 50-55 minute behavioral part, a 50-55 minute analytical part, and a 30-minute management part, all on Zoom. Just be patient and stay positive. My offer came more than a month after my Superday. They kept me updated while I was waiting.
