Behavioral Technical

Screening interview for Data Scientist that was absolutely unprofessional. The interviewer repeated her questions even after I had answered them, and it was clear she lacked the competence and experience for interviewing senior-level candidates. I think it was a junior-mid level role. After discussing my experience, I was asked Google-style questions, like 'if you were in an elevator and X thing happened with X constraints, what would you do?'. It was a ridiculous and unprofessional approach. I ended the interview myself partway through.

Technical Coding Behavioral

It was a 4 step process involving math/stats brain teasers, a coding session, an ML session, and a general overview. The coding session was only 30 min and covered python and SQL questions. Python questions were easy but if you don't use the specific method or function they are testing, you can waste the whole time on one problem. You'll still solve it but not the way they intended. Overall, the coding interview and the interviewer were the weakest part, not showing much. The process is okay but too much talk and not enough action.

Behavioral Technical Coding

The interview process seems to involve a preliminary chat, a data challenge, and then on-site interviews. I only went through the preliminary interview, which was pretty laid back, though I feel I could have explained my answers better.

  • How would you approach the sum of integers problem?
  • Which is your preferred ML model and why?
