Project Coordinator
This was a great interview experience! However, during the second round, I was asked to plan their holiday party and be creative. I told them I couldn't donate my time to plan a party and asked for an alternative way to demonstrate my skills. They decided I wasn't a good fit because I wouldn't plan their holiday party for free. (I also really didn't have the time, being a working mom). I was extremely disappointed because the interview was amazing, and I felt I would have been offered the position. But if this is how they sneakily get their parties planned without paying for them... I find it extremely unprofessional. They even mentioned it's standard practice. They have several planned parties from candidates who didn't get the job... and I bet they're in a file waiting to be used. Budgets, venues, pricing, and catering.. all prepared in a "creative" presentation.

Coordinator
This was the by far the best interview process I’ve ever experienced. It took about 2 weeks, and might’ve been faster if my schedule wasn’t in the way. Logistically it worked in a few rounds for me: 1. Phone screen (~30 min) 2. An in-person meeting with a couple team members & my recruiter + an office tour (~1 hour) 3. Another in-person meeting with one more team member, my recruiter, and the head of staffing (~1 hour) I also had to take a few tests (IQ, personality) to make sure I’d be a good cultural fit after my first in-person interview. You’re in direct contact with your recruiter from day 1. That’s unprecedented nowadays and a nice personal touch. Unfortunately, I ultimately decided not to accept. I was right on the cusp, since everyone was so accommodating, hard working, and nice. Even though they were very transparent from the beginning, the salary was just too low, the time frame for upward mobility was too unpredictable, and my benefits now (surprisingly) are comparable. They made sure I was absolutely comfortable with my decision, because they want people to stick around. Too bad I wasn’t 100% all in to justify a pay cut, because it seems like a fantastic place. I wish all companies would take the kind of effort to make sure both the candidate and the organization are a good match.
- Would you rather finish a project that’s good and on time or late and perfect?
Administrative Coordinator
The recruiter called me and asked some basic questions. I felt like they were all good questions. My main issue is that the recruiter didn't let me know I was no longer being considered until I reached out for an update. It's really unprofessional to not tell a candidate they didn't get the job, especially when they know. I'm pretty bummed I didn't even get an in-person interview, especially since I had the experience and background for the role. They didn't even explain why they weren't interested anymore.
